Cruising

With a total area over 107 square miles and a length of 75 miles there is no shortage of places to cruise and overnight on beautiful Lake Guntersville.

Also being on the Tennessee River we have the ability to cruise to the Gulf or upriver as far as our imagination can take us.

There are many scenic and unique spots to cruise to and even anchor overnight here on the lake.  See majestic bald eagles and while pelicans in the winter, great blue herons in summer and a full assortment of ducks and geese.

Some of the favorite spots for our club cruisers is overnighting around Goat Island or Short Creek.  A fall favorite is a cruise to the “bat cave”.  It’s the Hambrick Bat Cave and every night around dusk around 60,000 gray bats emerge from the cave.  It’s a must do trip on the river and we schedule a cruise there every year.
