Notice of Race

Browns Creek Sailing Association is honored to host the Hot Rudder Dinghy Regatta and would like to invite all sailors to participate in this event. The regatta is being held in the area of Lower Guntersville Light (LGL), Guntersville, AL.
The race shall be governed by the World Sailing Rules of Racing 2025-2028. The 2014 Portsmouth Handicapping System shall be employed to handicap the event, spinnaker, and headsail adjustment factors. All sailing dinghys shall be eligible for entry and shall be handicapped accordingly.
The skippers’ meeting will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM at the North Alabama Sailing Marina (NASM) in Guntersville, AL. The social and the pot-luck meal will be held immediatley afterwards at approximately 1800.
The race’s warning signal is scheduled to be made on Saturday at approximately 1:00 PM for dinghies in the vicinity of Lower Guntersville Light (LGL). The BCSA sailing instructions are posted on the BCSA website.
Schedule of Races:
Three Races are scheduled. However, one race will constitute a regatta. No races will be started after 16:00 on Saturday. No throwouts.

1200 – Skippers meetings at the BCSA Clubhouse |
| Sunday June 22nd: | Alternate Day to Race if Saturday’s weather is a bust with the same schedule. |
Trophies:
Awards will be awarded to the top three skippers.
Fees:
Regatta Entry $20.00. You must register on NextSailor. All entries must be recieived by June 20 at 2200. You may pay prior to the skippers meeting, but registration must be done on NextSailor.
