⛵️🏌️‍♂️ BCSA’s First Ever Open Golf Tournament & Cruise to Goose Pond 🏌️‍♀️⛵️

Pack your bags, polish your clubs, and lower your expectations—it’s time for the next legendary Browns Creek Sailing Association cruise.

We’ll be sailing (or driving, for the faint of heart) from NASM Marina up to Goose Pond Colony Resort. That’s right, the first-ever BCSA Open Golf Tournament is happening. And yes, it will be best ball – because otherwise, we’d still be on hole #2 when dinner is served.

💡 Bonus: If you arrive by boat, you automatically get a “handicap advantage.” Translation: we’re bribing you to actually sail instead of taking the easy way by car.

Expectations for golf? Low. Skill levels? All over the place. Entertainment value? Sky-high. Watching sailors try to golf is basically a live-action comedy special, and you don’t want to miss it.

📅 Schedule

• Friday, Oct 17 – 5:00 PM
  We sail out of NASM Marina like true adventurers (or like people avoiding traffic on 431). Expect 3–4 hours of wind, water, and asking yourself why you didn’t just drive. We will arrive at Goose Pond after dark. Possibly anchor rather than making our way through the gauntlet to the transient docks.
• Saturday, Oct 18 – 9:00–10:00 AM
  After coffee and breakfast aboard the boats (because what’s a better idea than caffeine and pastries before trying to hit a tiny ball?), we’ll stagger to the greens for Best Ball golf. Don’t know what Best Ball is? Perfect. You’ll fit right in.

Evening: Dinner at The Docks (restaurant)—because nothing caps off a day of questionable athleticism like pretending, we’re classy.

• Sunday, Oct 19 – TBD
  We sail home whenever we regain basic human functions. No promises, no schedule. Just survival mode.
