Join us for a full day of learning, planning, and collaboration as we kick off the season with our Race Committee Class in the morning and the All Fleets Meeting in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided between sessions, so come hungry and ready to contribute!

Schedule:

• 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM:Race Committee Class
  • Led by Chris Edwards, this hands-on session will cover all aspects of race committee procedures. It’s a great opportunity for experienced members to refresh their knowledge and for newcomers to learn the basics.
• 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM:Lunch
  • Enjoy a meal with fellow sailors as we take a break between sessions.
• 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM:All Fleets Meeting
  • Discuss key topics for the upcoming racing season, including series structure, regattas, scoring, and race committee assignments.

All Fleets Meeting Agenda

1. Race Series Planning
   • Review our current racing structure.
   • Series review and thoughts
     1. Pursuit vs Buoy.
2. Race Committee Participation
   • Discuss expectations for PRO and assistant roles.
   • Is everyone ok doing 2 races per year to reduce the number of pursuit races.
3. Regatta Schedule
   • Let’s examine the regatta structure together and make sure the schedule fits.
4. Racing Fees
   • Save money by prepaying:
     • $10 per race OR
     • $75 for the year (excluding regattas).
5. Fleets
   • Do the Flying Scots want to form a local fleet and we can keep there score in addition to the series scoring.
